Employee of the Month?

This month I was selected as the employee of the month for the entire company of over 500 employees.  Wow, I am so grateful!

My anonymous nomination reads:

"Veltis took charge of re-organizing our store’s entire supplement side.  She actually drew up her plans at home in her free time.  Our store used to separate everything by brands and that would make it hard to quickly find what the customer wanted.  For example a customer wants d-3, we would have to go to 5 different areas of the store to show them what we had.  Veltis organized everything by what it was instead of brand. Now we can show the customers all of the vitamin d-3’s in one area.  We save time and customers like seeing all we have in one spot better.  Veltis directed other employees that helped her move things and showed great leadership and initiative to complete this large product in a timely fashion.  Since I’ve been here in my 3+ years i have not seen such a large project done as this one and Veltis planned and orchestrated the whole thing wonderfully."

The Day The Earth Stood Still 1951 Movie Review - Spoilers Discussion

This was my first upload for the Retro Nerd Girl YouTube channel where I review movies.  I've been working on this for quite some time so I am pretty excited.  Technically, I worked on the Masters of the Universe 1987 movie review first in May, but this was the movie I decided to post first.

The Retro Nerd girl will have a blog, Facebook page, Twitter account, and Patreon page next year.

To be clear, I am not a movie critic, which I would define as a professional who actually views movies before or at the launch of release advising possible movie goers.  I am more of what is a new age reviewer, analyzing films.  My spin on it is that I am a little kinder than most reviewers and I tend to rate films a little higher than others, mostly out of respect for the field.

It's colder than normal here at about 40 degrees now on the last day of April with a mean chill in the air. It's not just a North Dakota thing though. It's cold everywhere, except Miami. It's 83 degrees in Miami.

I spent the last two days fighting a nasty cold virus.  I think I may have a few more days left.  I am hoping it will be minor enough for me to go to work on Wednesday the 16th.  It's my favorite day to work because we have the order to unpack.  This cold is a tough one and it seems the colds get tougher and tougher.
It's official... I am sick again.
